The Problem: To protect our agricultural future we need to make conservation practices achievable today.

GameTheory worked with Precision Sustainable Agriculture (in partnership with USDA & NRCS), to help them in their mission to connect farmers with site-specific knowledge decision making, especially around adopting conservation practices like selecting cover crops that best fit a farm's means and goals.

Part 1: Testing Strategy to Manage Risk & Deepen Impact

Our work started with PSA based with the key goal of helping their team ensure the tools they were creating to support farmer decision making (web apps and hardware interfaces) were impactful and effective. The tools had to be highly usable and feel valuable to make the change we want to see in agriculture. And this had to be true for every state or territory in the country.

What Did This Look Like: strategic design, training & facilitation

Part 2: National Testing Strategy

GameTheory worked with PSA on an ongoing basis to build strategy and execute on testing their diverse family of products with farmers all across America. We assessed the tool's ability to make adopting practices clear, easy, and impactful, and processes findings into strategic next steps for the team.

Part 3: Excellence in Experience Design

GameTheory took findings from the testing sessions and translated those user needs into specific and actionable design reccommendations in collaboration with the PSA development team, elevating the tools to cutting edge user experiences and empowering them to achieve their goals.
